As I expected, I was a little sluggish this morning. I “slept in” until a little before 8, which was actually quite early compared to the 11:00 am wake up times I had gotten used to last week. Still, a week of theme parks and laying by the pool reading and sipping margaritas doesn’t seem to have set me back too far. My 3 mile run wasn’t as easy as usual, but I still managed to average 8:27 miles. I took a little extra time between sets during my strength training, but I still completed all my prescribed exercises. In the end, it felt good to be back at it. I suspect I”ll sleep well tonight despite a stressful day of catching up on a week of missed work. Mentally, I left vacation recharged and very motivated. I’ve got to do that more often.
