It occurs to me that when I use names in my blog posts, some people who haven’t been reading for a long time might get a little confused. In many cases I refer to other bloggers, like Lindsay, with a link back to their own blog. Like I just did. For everyone else, here’s a quick reference.
Brian (Me) : Oceanographer/Internet Marketer with a passion for running. First appeared in The Story So Far.
Richie: Ex collegiate miler/reluctant cross country runner who is a frequent training partner/coach. He is known to speak loudly, and on rare occasions refer to himself in the third person. He’s a very successful entrepreneur, an example of what Malcolm Gladwell would call a “connector” and a “persuader”, and an all around fun guy who holds a 3:01:22 marathon PR. He has not required an emergency bathroom break in quite some time. Richie first appeared in my running recap from the week of June 15th, 2009.
Drew: Sometimes running partner who contacted me after reading about a race he beat me in here on this blog. My lack of training time with Drew is owed largely to the fact that he’s just too damned fast, but he’s always a great resource for training discussion and he’s gone sub 3 hours in his last 2 marathon attempts, cruising to 17th in the Portland marathon with a time of 2:45:51. Drew also first appeared in my running recap from the week of June 15th, 2009.
Bret: Friend of Richie whose quest to run the New York city marathon with Richie always ends with one of them getting injured. Bret first appeared in my running recap from the week of September 14th, 2009.
Alice: My 14 year old daughter and frequent running partner in the summer. Alice runs varsity cross country and track for her school, specializing in distance races. Alice first appeared in my weekly review from March 29,2009.
Steve: Neighbor of Richie who became a frequent training partner during my training for the 2010 Gasparilla marathon. Steve is a relative running novice, but has come a long way in a short time, debuting with a 3:25 marathon. Steve first appeared in the 2009 Jingle Bell Run recap.
Justin: Neighbor of Richie who became a frequent training partner during my training for the 2010 Gasparilla marathon. Justin is usually convinced to register for races following the consumption of copious amounts of alcohol, but manages to stay committed to a training regimen despite this fact. Just first appeared in The Restroom Relay.
Meredith: Captain of Twisted Blister, the Ragnar Relay team I joined for a run across the state of Florida last year. Meredith became a frequent training partner during the lead up to our second Ragnar relay from Miami to Key West. Meredith first appeared in my recap of the 2009 Ragnar Relay.
Scott: Meredith’s fiance’ and also a teammate on Twisted Blister. Scott became a frequent training partner during the lead up to our second Ragnar relay from Miami to Key West. Scott first appeared in my recap of the 2009 Ragnar Relay.
Britt: Teammate from Twisted Blister and sometimes training partner when the team runs together training for the next relay. Britt first appeared in my recap of the 2009 Ragnar Relay.’
Inia: Marine Science graduate student who frequents my Saturday morning running group. Inia first appeared in Running for Brews St. Pete.
